Skye Day Tours originating from Armadale/Kyle where guests arrive independently by ferry/train

 

 

We understand that booking a day tour from Armadale where you have travelled by ferry from Mallaig in the morning carries some degree of risk with the possibility of the ferry operator Caledonian Macbrayne cancelling the sailing at short notice due to adverse weather or mechanical/operational reasons & to offer a higher standard of service we have created specific terms and conditions that work alongside our standard terms. 

 

 

We require written notice 2 days prior to the departure date that you wish to cancel the tour to receive a full refund minus deposit if the weather/operator is looking like, it may cause disruption. We MUST have evidence of this with Caledonian Macbrayne service status being at yellow or amber status warning which can be found here.

 

Cancellations on the day of the tour that are due to ferry disruption will be refunded at 50% of the total tour cost to ensure we can pay our driver guide and recoup a small portion of missed trade for this day. 

 

Ferry delays - we will work with you to carry out the tour as normal and will remain on standby up to 2 hours after the start time after this we have the right to stand our driver guide down. 

 

In the event the ferry is cancelled for the return to Mallaig we will endeavour to assist you on your return to the mainland but will not be held responsible for missed ferries due to road conditions or ferry operator delays/cancellations. 

 

Guests departing from Kyle train station at the conclusion of a tour

 

We will always try to ensure onward travel connections are always met when planning a tour and if you are looking to depart via the rail network at Kyle of Lochalsh after a tour has completed, we will aim to have there with plenty of time to spare.

 

We would aways advise to travel the following day to ensure there is no risk to missing any connections but understand that sometimes this is not always possible. 

 

We will not be held responsible for any missed connections due to road/weather conditions on tour but will endeavour to assist if this occurs.
