Arriving at Oban just in time for lunch you will have around 1.5 hours to take in the town where we will advise on where to go and what to see. Options may include MaCcaigs Tower hike, Oban Whisky Distillery, Lunch reservations at the many famous seafood restaurants or you may wish to go with the flow and grab some fresh seafood at the harbour where it doesn’t get any fresher as you may see the fishing boats landing their catch. Oban Tour FAQ's
Our FAQ's can be found here but FAQ's specific to this tour are below:
Do we have enough time for the whisky tour at Oban distillery? - Yes of course, but this MUST be booked in advance as the tours sell out ahead of the date. We would need you to book the 1200/1230/1300 or 1330 slot to fit into the timings.
Where can we start the tour? Although the tour itinerary is based on starting in Edinburgh, we can start the tour in the surrounding area and anywhere on the route. Please get in touch for more information.
Should we make a lunch reservation? This really depends on where you would like to eat. One of the most popular restaurants EE-USK is recommended to book ahead. We enjoy the Green Shed on the harbour which is outside with no restaurant as such, but tables and seats are on site. (great on a sunny day)
Is the tour flexible for other stops on the way? Yes, the time on tour is down to you, which is the beauty of a private tour. The stated itinerary tries to make the most of the time on tour, but you can alter stops on the route to your interests as long as it fits into the timings of the tour.
